Gayatri Devi was once admired by Vogue,as the most Beautiful woman and she chose to become the 3^rd wife of the Prince of Jaipur..

Many wives in the lives of our Maharajahs were accepted as a symbol of their status..They spent such lavish sums on concubines and Spanish Dancers that India wd have been much more Wealthier but for these Idiots!

A journey into the past of such Crazy Maharajahs.:-

1.Prince Jagatsingh of Kapurthala went to Madrid to attend King Alfonso XII’s wedding in 1906 and went for a Spanish Theatre..He saw Anita Delgado and her sister(Anita was only 16)who were engaged as Curtain Raisers to raise the curtains during the show..The King of Kapurthala fell in Love..Madly..He chased this Street Tea Vendor’s daughter and ultimately married her,tho he already was officially married to the daughter of Mian Ranjit Singh of Guleria in 1886!Anita was renamed Prem Kaur and became his sixth wife..apart from the mistress from France,Germain Pelligreno,for this great Prince met at a fashion show and arranged a separate Ocean Liner for her to be shipped to Bombay where a special Train wd wait the arrival of the important mistress from Europe,to be transported to Kapurthala!..

2.Even a simple Pudukkottai of Tamil Nadu had a great lavish prince in Marthanda Bhairava Thondaiman!He was the 3^rd son of Rajah Ramachandra Thondaiman’s eldest daughter and by virtue of ‘No Sons’ for the elder Rajah,this Prince was named the Heir in 1886!This prince visited Australia where he started going for Races..Molly and her sister Ida were regular visitors too at the races along with their mother Elizabeth,a widow who wanted to get the daughters well settled….

She got what she wanted as Molly beautifully trapped our Thondaiman!He got married to Molly in a Church in Australia in 1915 and since the British regime didn’t recognize the marriage,Molly never received any invitation for any of the local functions..Our Prince decided to appeal to King George for the cruel treatment meted out to his darling Molly in British India but he didn’t get the desired response!Hence our Great Prince decided to buy a villa in Cannes for her..They settled down amidst the elite of Cannes..Their villa,LA FAVORITE, was the most beautiful one at that time..C.MILLIET-LONDON,author of a monograph on Cannes villas,described La Favorite ‘as a very fine example of a late 19^th century bourgeois home’!Because of this faraway episodes he gave the power of attorney to his brother Prince Raghunatha Thondaiman to rule Pudukkottai province and started draining all the wealth to Swiss accounts!The court battle for this enormous wealth is still going on and on!

3.Mukrama Jha was born in Paris in 1933..educated in Doon school,then Harrow,England.He went to Cambridge where he studied History when he heard that Sir Osman Ali Khan,his grandfather,the 7^th Nizam of Hyderabad,had chosen him as the Heir apparent!Jha inherited a fortune of $4000 million in 40s!His rendeavouz included many concubines from as far away in Turkey to Moroccao and finally ,married to Ersa in 1960 ..

Nizams gold mines and Diamonds were estimated to be worth 12,000,000 carats of Diamonds..The 6^th Nizam,Sir Mehboob Ali Khan born in 1866,was supposed to have kept the most exotic and lavish court in entire India!His Prime Minister,Salar Jung was fond of Arts and used to collect rare artworks from all over the world and kept them in a separate palace which is now the famous Salar Jung Museum!Even the Britshers used to admire Salar Jung’s administrative ability and he was the trusted advisor for the Nizam.But one fine morning he died after a picnic where his canned Oysters had given him the poison and his demise was mourned by one and all!

But Mehbub was quixotic and one of his sisters maintained a separate Guard for her, imported from Amazon!The 7^th Nizam had peculiar interest including Unani Medicine,an ancient Greek system,the basis of which was the action of powered jewels administered in infusions of herbs or in syrups!He spent much of his time within Hyderabad and after his death in Gold Bullion alone was found to be worth $500,000 and $2 Billion Gold coins and other precious stones!His collection of Jewels was supposed to be the largest in the world!His Grecian silver,jade,and crystals were exquisite!In 1995 when his heirs were finally given the permission by the Indian Govt to sell his 173 item jewel collection,40% of that money went to Mukharam Jha!When the contents of the 3 steel trunks were emptied onto the table,in the airless Hongkong Bank room in Bombay,it was awe struck with Asaf Jahi rubies,emeralds,and diamonds of enormous value!The famous Jacob Diamond was one of them..’Believed to have been mined in Africa and brought to London by a Simla based Jewish trader,A.M.Jacob,after whom it was named,later on bought by the 6^th Nizam..supposed to be the best in whiteness and 7^th in size in the entire world!

In 1972 Mukhram settled down in Perth,Australia and was attracted towards Helen Simmons whom he married too.She became a muslim with the name’Aysha’..A son was born and named Azam in 1979.This created a big rift between Ersa the first wife and Helen for the custody of the huge wealth and got divorce with a huge amount as settlement too from Mukhram.Helen and Jha again got officially married in a simple civil ceremony and Helen became the Begum of Hyderabad in 1981.She found to her dismay the looting that was going on in the household around her and felt many of the advisors were looting the wealth and creating problems for the Nizam by prompting even Income Tax officials of hidden wealth..They stayed in Chiran Palace at Banjara Hills which was around 395 acres!Due to the connivance of his staff,Chiran Palace was at the risk of being appropriated by Jah’s staff..Helen insisted that both return to Australia..and he remained in Australia for ever till his death..They attended social functions and Helen was uncontrollable and became friendly with many men..She ultimately suffered from HIV and died!She was only 41!To prove to the world that he is innocent Jha took a blood test in Swiss and proved that he didn’t have HIV at all!After Helen’s death Jha announced to the world that he was in the market for a new bride too.. amidst various models he chose,Manolya Onur,a former Miss Turkey..and married her in 1990 and had a daughter too.They often quarreled as to where to settle down with Jah liking Perthand Onur Istanbul..but Jahs close friends say a different story..They fell apart due to Jha’s moroccan concubine,Jameela Boularous!Several marriages followed too..Onur is fighting for the custody of Jha’s wealth too!
